Frederick named Greene County Fair queen

Ashlyn Frederick was selected as 2021 Greene County Fair queen on Wednesday. She spent the rest of the week awarding ribbons at the various livestock shows during the fair, and will represent Greene County at the Iowa State Fair competition in August.

Ashlyn is the daughter of Dan and Jodi Frederick and was a co-valedictorian in the Greene County Class of 2021. Throughout high school she was been involved in volleyball, football and wresting cheerleading, Student Council, Interact, National Honor Society, FFA and choir. Outside of school she participated in competitive dance, 4-H Young Leaders, and her church youth group. She plans to attend Iowa State University and study agriculture.

Other contestants were Lauryn Killion, Hannah Curtis and Makala Kafer, all members of the Greene County class of 2021.
